The Slate Mine is a cancelled destination. It would have included two Slate Cargo pieces which could have been loaded into the top of the mine, and pressing the button would have loaded the slate into a Cargo Car. Pushing the lever would have sent the car down the Ascending Track into a unique stop track piece with flip-up stopper.
Trivia
- The Slate Mine can only be seen in the 2006 European pamphlet and in pictures of the Ultimate Island of Sodor Set from the 2006 and 2009 yearbooks.
- The 2006 and 2009 yearbooks show that the Slate Mine was going to be a part of the Ultimate Island of Sodor Set track layout. The final layout plan uses the Useful Engine Shed instead.
