Samson is the exciting new engine making his debut in the Thomas & Friends Dinos and Discoveries DVD movie. He’s strong for a small engine and has come to the Island of Sodor to help out with the Earl’s new Dinosaur Park.

- The first prototype Samson features a low saddle tank, a lack of details on the sides, a red bufferbeam with painted buffers, and a shaped running board.
- His second prototype features a raised dome and a slightly-different face.
