The Recycling Cars is a pair of trucks. It includes a green truck with tyre load, and a recycling bin car with rotating bins of cans, paper, and bottles.

All of the engines on the Island of Sodor know how important it is to recycle. These recycling cars make it possible for Thomas and his friends to transport glass, paper and aluminum to recycling facilities on the island of Sodor.

- The prototype Recycling Cars feature a light green livery and a white recycling symbol. The final version has a dark green livery and a yellow recycling symbol.
- The tyre truck is the only item to have a face that is not based on the television series or the Railway Series, not counting the coach from the cancelled Pop-up Pastry cars.
- The tyre truck was one of the last characters introduced to not have painted eyes.
- The tyre truck's chassis labels it as "recycling cars", despite it only being one car.
