Emily is a beautiful engine with shiny paintwork and gleaming brass fittings. After she rescued Oliver and Toad when they were stuck on the tracks, Sir Topham Hatt rewarded her with a brand new pair of coaches.

Trivia[]
- The prototype 2004 Emily features a longer tender, a slightly crooked face, and lacked her chocolate-colored running boards.
- The 2013 Emily has been seen with and without a red front bufferbeam.
- The 2017 prototype Emily features a 2011 styled face and oddly has her tender and driving wheels as light blue.
- The 2018 Emily has her running board printed on unlike her prototype.
- A prototype of the 2022 Emily features black wheels with green printing, where as the final version she has green wheels with black printing.
- Due to not being able to have prints on the 2022 engines' smokeboxes, the top of Emily's funnel is left unpainted and the handrail she later gained in the television series above her head is printed on her boiler instead.
- Despite counterweights being introduced for 2022, Emily's driving wheels lack them.
