Gold Thomas (also known as 60th Anniversary Thomas, Collectible Gold Thomas, and Thomas) is a variant of Thomas painted gold to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of The Railway Series. It was sold in Home Video Bonus Packs in the US, but got individual releases in the UK as an Early Learning Centre exclusive, and in Australia. The Toys "R" Us exclusive includes a 3" Straight Track piece. It was later released in the Sodor Collector's Pack.

- The UK Early Learning Centre release includes an exclusive gold character card. The Australian release includes a generic Thomas character card. A standard Gold Thomas character card is included in the Sodor Collector's Pack.
- A Silver Thomas was initially developed for production, however it was dropped and Gold Thomas was made instead.
