2013 was the twentieth full year of Thomas Wooden Railway. From this year on, the line was made by Mattel in Fisher-Price's product ranges. This was also the year in which semi-accurate wheel dates were restored and the yearbook received checkboxes again to keep track of one's collection. Products also gained more-rounded edges for safety purposes. In addition, plastic was included increasingly into destinations and vehicles in order to cut down on production costs, much to the dissappointment of fans.
